In video games, the player respawn is often rather poorly integrated into the background story. Of course, this is just one game! So why bother? Well, if the lore explains what happens when the player dies or fails and this underpins the gameplay nicely, the whole thing can significantly improve immersion! In this video I show you how these thoughts have influenced the character design and the game world. I also drew a few manga pages to flesh out the background story!
